Real Talk Tuesday: No Excuses

"There's a big difference between trying to do something and actually doing it. The truth is, we're either doing it or not. We use excuses to cover up the fact that we didn't put in the required effort to deliver. There's no excuse for being late, for not handing in an assignment, for failing an exam, for not spending time with your family, for not calling your girlfriend, and so forth. You can manufacture an excuse that's socially acceptable, such as having too much work or being sick but if you really wanted to deliver you'd figure out a way to make it happen.

Making excuses, or giving reasons for not delivering, is socially acceptable because it makes you sound   "reasonable". But even if you feel obliged to make excuses to others, you shouldn't make them to yourself."

- What I wish I knew when I was 20 by Tina Seelig

^^ This is real talk. It sounds super harsh, but its reality.

If you really want to do something, there is no can't, there is only a won't. You aren't willing to do it.

The only thing you can really do is keep the promises you make to yourself and to others and keep 100% integrity with yourself!

If you can't do something, then just be honest about it.

Prioritize what you want, and you won't have any excuses to not do something.

Your either doing something or not, so whats your excuse?

With Love,
Kelly

Love that quote, harsh but I think it gives people an opportunity to look inwardly at their intentions and how honest they are with themselves and others.
